JASON WIETLISPACH

Jason Wietlispach-born 1970, Evanston Ill. Reeds, bass, synth, electronics, kitchen sink. Played reeds, primarily bass clarinet, in various improv groups in the Chicago scene in the mid 901s. Moved to Milwaukee in 1997. Started Soutrane Recording Company (www.soutrane.com)and putting out releases under the names of Castle Broadway, Field of Sound, among others. Busy recording, engineering, producing, and playing with experimental, free, and electronic improvisers in Milwaukee and Chicago. Recording influences are Steve Albini, hat Art, ECM, and classic rock. Musical influences are Robert Wyatt, Pink Floyd, Eno, Jimmy Giuffre, Lol Coxhill, John Coltrane and 20th century chamber music.

Jason Wietlispach is featured on Crouton No. 03 as part of the Pianobread release.
