JARBOE

A primary objective of Jarboe’s is to close in on the gap in the audience/performer relationship with a complete submission and vicarious experience through her performance. This is at times done through visceral vocals and music from a variety of cultures and sound vignettes. Her delivery can be at turns innocent, knowing, seductive, & vitriolic - contained in melodic and experimental compositions with a wide range of musicians and artists. A sampling of the eclectic roster of musical collaborators includes: Michael Gira and SWANS, Bill Laswell, Jim Thirlwell (Foetus), Lustmord, PanSonic, Mark Spybey (Dead Voices On Air), Steve Severin (Siouxsie & the Banshees), Larry Seven, Tim Bowness, Chris Connelly, Alan Sparhawk (Low), Neurosis, Merideim (w. Buckethead and Bill Laswell), Edward KaSpel (Legendary Pink Dots), William Faith, David J, (Bauhaus) , David Torn, Paz Lenchantin, Bill Rieflin (Ministry, NIN, KMFDM), Iva Davies (Icehouse)and more. She has worked with visual artists in film
/photography including the more well-known Richard Kern, Beth B, Laura Levine and Wim Van De Hulst.
