Picking up where Collections of Colonies of Bees leave off, Jon Mueller and Chris Rosenau join with multi-instrumentalist and improviser Hal Rammel for a series of improvisations not too far removed from the aforementioned group. Jon and Hal have performed together over the past two years and have also appeared in Fred Lonberg-Holm’s Lightbox Orchestra. Together with Rosenau they create seven pieces of stellar improvisation - sometimes sounding nothing like. Instrumentation includes single-string electric guitar, prepared sounds, six stringed electric and acoustic guitar, and drum set. Extremely organic sounding, textured and varied. A beautiful and refreshing glimpse into the realm of improvisation. This limited hand numbered release of 500 comes complete with liner notes by Hal and Chris held within a grommet-bound hand stenciled case.
