Following up last years self-titled debut on Crouton, the collective known as Raccoons present this special edition
2 disc set. Disc one is a document of a live performance recorded late last year at Mother Fools Coffeehouse in Madison, WI in conjunction with WORT FM. Disc two finds the group captured in their second session at Penumbra studios, a remodeled barn out in the quiet Wisconsin country and at Rosenau and Mueller’s A Women’s Locker Room studio. Here they document their most recent improvised meetings. The results show the trio engaged in a dichotomy of subtle melody and terrifying dissonance, augmented by the surrounding country scenery and strange shower room atmosphere. Guitars, tinfoil, balloons, party favors, wood, plastic, and drums join for this powerful follow up to the trio’s debut. This special addition of 100 comes packaged in a beautiful engraved wooden box complete with the 2 discs, inserts, and an exclusive photo card by Hal Rammel.
